Services

Creekside Animal Hospital is a small animal hospital with a focus on preventive medicine and well-care but does offer a wide range of services and care.  Below is a list of some of our services offered at our hospital but may not include the full scope of our available treatments/care.   

  • Routine well-care exams

  • Sick patient exams

  • Dermatology

  • In house pharmacy

  • Heartworm testing and prevention

  • Heartworm Treatments

  • Boarding

  • Bathing

  • Nail trims and anal gland expressions

  • Dental care to include preventive, general dental prophylaxis under general anesthesia, deciduous tooth extractions, diseased tooth extractions, and periodontal care.

  • Ophthalmology to include pressure testing for glaucoma, dry eye, corneal ulcers, and other routine procedures

  • In house digital radiology

  • Emergency care

  • Routine soft tissue surgeries

  • Specialty soft tissue surgeries 

  • Orthopedics and more specialized surgeries are performed in our hospital by our associate Dr. Rebecca Tudor and her specialized team:  Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists.  Some of her more common surgeries include TPLO and extracapsular cruciate repair, luxating patella reduction, and brachycephalic airway syndrome repair, to name a few.

  • In house laboratory testing including

    • Heartworm testing

    • Fecal exams for intestinal parasites

    • Skin scrapings

    • Needle aspirates/cytologies

    • Ear swab cytologies

    • Tick antigen testing for Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis

    • Complete Blood Counts

    • Comprehensive Chemistry Panel

    • Lipase Testing

    • Feline Leukemia and FIV testing

    • Urinalysis to include Sedivue sediment analysis

    • Thyroid and cholesterol testing

  • Outside Laboratory Testing includes but not limited to:

    • Biopsies

    • Cultures and Sensitivities

    • Specialized Well Care Testing Panels

    • FAVN rabies serology

    • Canine Brucellosis testing

    • ACTH Stimulation Testing

    • Bile Acids Testing

    • Just to name a few!

 

  • Pregnancy Ultrasound and Care

  • Minor Ultrasound Procedures 

  • (More specialized ultrasound procedures are referred to specialty facilities where complete thoracic, cardiac, and abdominal ultrasounds are performed by board-certified radiologists in conjunction with appropriate boarded internal medicine specialists in order to properly diagnose and treat certain illnesses and conditions.  If a more specialized diagnosis or treatment is needed, it is Creekside Animal Hospital’s opinion that pets should be evaluated by a highly trained specialist with appropriate certification in order to provide the best and most accurate care possible.)
